The organizing committee of the 2015 IWCS Annual Charity Event would like to thank all club members and their friends who attended and contributed to the Roaring Twenties Cocktail Party which took place on May 25th. Your generosity will be greatly appreciated by the beneficiaries of our event, Frauen helfen Frauen e.V. and their women’s shelter.

After all the hard work, partying, and lots of giggle water, we are proud to announce that the IWCS raised a total of €5000 to donate to the Frauenhaus.

The organizers were especially happy to see all the guests embrace the Roaring Twenties party theme! You all looked amazing in your fancy evening attire and accessories, no doubt reflected in the beautiful photos taken by our own Coralie Sneddon.

We hope you also enjoyed the music performed by pianist Bea Michalski and dancing to the sounds of DJ Jan from Mr Mac’s Party Team. Maybe the curry was on the spicy side, but it definitely added flavor to the party…could that have been the reason why the cocktail bar – run by our own Gail Rinehart and Michelle Niese-Mendel – was such a huge success?!

Donation Details

Receipts from the event fundraisers (raffle, cocktail bar, and dessert table) together with many corporate and personal donations accumulated to just over €4000 and the IWCS board decided to round up the donation to €5000 using reserve club funds.

Raffle tickets sales brought in €1178 and the amazing skills of our bartenders and the bakers generated another €1015 in cocktail/drinks/dessert sales.

Corporate donations included cash donations of €250 from Kaercher GmbH and €400 from LBS-BW Bank. Another €815 was raised through our fundraising website hosted at

Some of the event’s costs were covered by the sponsors directly. We would like to thank Maku Industries for printing and mailing our invitations and Thomas Wilke Consulting for the pianist expenses.
