With exotic ingredients, unfamiliar dishes, and wonderful flavors, Indian cuisine is both exciting and intimidating. No need to be a seasoned chef to enjoy cooking it though! Join the IWCS for an evening of exotic Indian Cookery class where we will learn, cook, eat, drink, and make merry.

We will cook 4-6 dishes together, learning about the basics of Indian cooking and the use of spices. The price includes all the food and instructions, water, chai, and a recipe book designed just for us. The menu will include a starter, a dessert and mains. We will end with a dinner and guests are welcome to take food home if it is left (which is apparently rare!)

The hosting foodie company, Happy Belly Fish Cooking, uses main ingredients from a local farmer’s market, so some seasonal adjustments for the menu are possible. We can also let them know about any special preferences or specific dishes we would like to learn to make. All dishes will be vegetarian. Our class will last between 2.5 and 3 hours and will take place at the show kitchen at the top of the spice shop.

This is a +1 event, which means:

  • Any IWCS member plus one guest are welcome to attend.
  • Your +1 can be a partner, spouse, child over 14, or friend.
  • You and your guest each pay the member cost listed below.

The cost of this event is €40 per person, paid in advance. The International Women’s Club Stuttgart will be subsidizing the remainder of the fees for the class.

For this event to take place at this price, we will need a minimum of 15 paid reservations. To reserve your spot, please RSVP using the form below or respond in the pending Facebook event and then transfer the €40 per person to the IWCS bank account no later than October 7th. If you have any extenuating circumstances that keep you from getting the funds to us by that date, please speak directly with the host so we don’t assume you are no longer interested.

Prepayments are non-refundable after the payment deadline. Members who have to cancel at the last minute are welcome to find another member or guest to send in their place.
